SnoWalk @ i-City

He bought vouchers for the SnoWalk in i-City. The moment I was free from work, we went! :D

Big, silly smiles for the camera :D

Cold cold cold

Ice sculptures lighted up in blue, green and red lights

Blue, green, red :P

:)

Then it started getting really cold ;P

Ice spikes D:

House made of ice, similarly lighted up. When it came to red, it was on fire :D

Til today, I still have no idea what that thing is. Snowman? Possibly :P

Snowmen saying goodbye when we exited.

After an hour we exited, cold to the bone. Brrrr. Took me awhile before I took my gloves off. Defrosted, then we explored more of the place :)

It rained a little in the evening, so we sought shelter in KFC :P As soon as it stopped then we went for this ride called the Spacewalk, which was elevated and ran 3/4 of the outdoors.

So brighttt

CNY red :D

We had tickets to 2 outdoor rides, and wanted to go back for another round on the Spacewalk but the line was so long @.@

So we went around taking pics, trying to drain my camera battery which had started to blink.

Teeeheee

And more..

"I'm taking this tree home!"
"My car can't fit!"

:P

Came across this miang-looking seahorse hehehe. Had a few of guarding a mermaid, and you know how mermaids are dressed *coughs*

Quite possibly our favourite was this fallen reindeer we took malicious joy in :P

"Can see anot?"
"Hmm.."

He took great joy in highlighting the reindeer's demise :P

"Rudolph the fallen reindeer..."

Was starting to get bored of the trees and stuff to take pictures with, so we went back to the fallen reindeer..

Only to find that the staff had resurrected it. Bah! :P

The one he liked most was this: a Chevrolet Cruze given to the police by Naza (so he told me) and the only one for Malaysian police.

Yes, the face says it allll..

Have to take picture with it! How else :P

Photobomb! I asked him to take a picture of it then I jumped in. Hehehe.

Left for home about 9pm, poor fella quite tired from the day's events. Rare outing that allows lots of opportunities to camwhore ;D

Sniffing coffee is dangerous :P

It all started with a BANG!

Spent the day with MG :)

Old friends are the best kind, ya know? Old jokes, memories, and insults get pulled out during fights :P Though it was just the five of us plus one newcomer, it was great.

You instantly slip back into warm fuzziness and security, and this ain't an easy feeling to acquire. Yea yea, familiarity breeds contempt, but absence makes the heart grow fonder and I really did miss them :)

Nothing beats being having your name yelled from a distance and pounced on the moment they get close :)

I got to Worm's place around 11am, and only left at 6pm. Time really flew today, but we managed to squeeze in some L4D rounds and 7 games of Bang! :D

Not sure what happens once Jing leaves for US (sigh), Xuan to Australia (sigh) and Worm to UK (sigh sigh sigh). But we'll meet again in June/July :) We always do, just like our annual Labour Day gathering, hee.

I wonder how many people meet in tuition and keep in touch and still meet regularly like us; we're one of the lucky ones. 6 years down the road now, here's to more :)

Some positive motivation

Woke up feeling a little blue (sometimes I really dislike social media) so here's some light for my Monday.

Live life fully while you're here. Experience everything. Take care of yourself and your friends. Have fun, be crazy, be weird. Go out and screw up! You're going to anyway, so you might as well enjoy the process. Take the opportunity to learn from your mistakes: find the cause of your problem and eliminate it. Don't try to be perfect; just be an excellent example of being human.
~Anthony Robbins

This is my wish for you: Comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss your lips, sunsets to warm your heart, hugs when spirits sag, beauty for your eyes to see, friendships to brighten your being, faith so that you can believe, confidence for when you doubt, courage to know yourself, patience to accept the truth, Love to complete your life.
~Unknown

And them panda eyes after the late nights.

Oh yes, definitely.

You have no idea.. Especially with this amount of phlegm.

:) Don't overthink too much.

Hell yes! 4 years down the road, though we see much less of each other, every meet-up is worth it. Future friends are great, but they will never replace our recess times :)

I still miss you sitting in class next to me :P

I need some best friend time soon. Else I'll go madder than I already am.

(I've collected these bunch of feel-good graphics since I was what, 15? Nice to know the 15 year old knew that the 20 year old now needed them someday. Something to look upon and grin :D)

Character! I love that word now :)

Real eyes

Hmm.

February in short: Worked my ass off, CNY gatherings :), a new baby :D and 2 weeks of food poisoning.

Worked my ass off during CNY, bought my new baby during the second week :D I'm mostly better from the food poisoning, can still feel the effects though.

Appetite is still not back =/ Mom says it was a viral one, too. Sigh. Not pleasant. Especially today, ate some bits and pieces and felt full after. Just the sight of food made me want to throw up :/ I had no square meal today.

Bahh.

Just have to wait.....for full recovery. Meanwhile continuing to be wary of what I put in my mouth.

---

Oh dear, what am I to do with you?

My heart feels that it's ready to settle, but my head says no. No way am I going to repeat that again, so... I'm going to go where life takes me and where the wind blows hee.

Whenever the heart settles, it's sort of a finality. Where the best decisions are made and commitments made.

Shall see how it goes :)

Hello, hello

Banyak comel.

---

There is such a thing as trying too hard. After many rejects and applications, I decided to give it up for working in December. If cannot, cannot lah.

Yesterday I finally returned Yen's long overdue books heeee. I came back with several Cecilia Aherns, Nicholas Sparks and Mini Shopaholic, the latest from the Shopaholic series. As I'm typing this, I have just started on Dear John by Nicholas Sparks, having finished Mini Shopaholic and The Last Song.

GOD!!!!

Yinyee Wong says
hahaha

Hehe *twiddles thumbs* That's about 893 pages since yesterday... And I thought I lost my speed-reading talent. Yes talent *cough*. Modern technology makes you impatient. I remember finishing Mini Shopaholic around this time yesterday, after coming home from the potluck.

The agony of tearing myself away from the most kancheong part to show face at the potluck :(

Both were good books; one made me laugh so hard and the other made me cry.

Several of Nicholas Sparks' books were made into movies, but I'm not sure if I want to watch them. The expectation I have for them is never reached. The story I read just doesn't match what's in the movie and that annoys me to the core.

Prime example: Harry Potter.
Yes, the movie's fine for those who haven't read the books. Sorcerer's Stone was acceptable, but Chamber of Secrets put me off the series entirely. I started watching again when I had forgotten the minute details of the books and it was easier to swallow.

Ya lah, I know I very anal.

But, the books painted such a magical picture and I was at the point where I was so into the story that I could picture the scenes and dialogue. You tell me that won't annoy you when you close the cover of the book, satisfied and the movie doesn't do the book justice??

Which brings my next growl, Twilight.
Mamma mia, the books were fine; Bella was told to be a smart girl in advanced placement classes with opinions and in the movie I wanted to hurl. Yeaaaa, there WAS too much dialogue and the two were such statues. Twilight I watched on pirated DVD with extremely bad quality didn't help at all.

It was a mistake to watch New Moon in the cinemas.... NO, not my idea at all to watch it.

I'm ranting, aren't I.. Hehee..

My sister always said I read at the speed of a bullet train. When that fact reached my parents, my mom discouraged me from buying books because she said there was no point :P My mom even bribed me a book for every 'A' I got in school because I wasn't doing that brilliantly. I wasn't hard to be kept occupied as a child; throw me a book and I'd be curled up in a corner for hours (depending on said book).

Oh I just made myself akin to a dog...

When I reached that age that was too old for kids stories and still too young for chic lit, I was at a loss. What the hell to read laaaaa... Fortunately Harry Potter, Roald Dahl, Louise Rennison, Lucy M. Maudgomery came to the rescue for the last 10 years.

I am still considering buying the whole lot of HP over the other kind of HP. All for less than RM300, when I'm fighting with myself over getting a RM700 HP. What is wrong with meeee?? At one point I was considering getting a Kindle, since I could not ever match my reading speed with available books. It's true reading on a Kindle will not beat the feeling of holding a book... but heck, I'm looking at ease of getting books (albeit electronic form) over storage space and the feeling of knowing a story back to front.

Sources have been scarce :D I shamelyfreely admit there are some books I can pick up and continue reading at a random page because I know it off by heart. I'm not sure what to do when I finish the pile. Most likely and ruthlessly read them over and over again before returning them to owner :D

BabyShim Yen says
no comments la

Yinyee Wong says
you just commented xD

BabyShim Yen says

i am speechless
thats all speeecccchhhhllllesssssss

I love youuuu, Yen. Heeehee. I shall return to Dear John now, and try my extreme best to prolong my time with the book. Nothing I can do once I'm transported into the magical land of.. Oh stop it, this is not Narnia. Now there's a series I have devour again before the next sem starts :D *looks around wildly*

Okay, okay, read a bit more then sleep. I have been commissioned to wash ye olde Mitsu station wagon tomorrow :D It was fun after washing the Viva that day.......

I better end before I go off on another ramble :D

Every picture tells a story :)

...and each holds a place in my heart
